Nearby gives an improved experience to end-users to create a real community.

It allows to display into the Splash Portal a list of points of interest (such as cafès, restaurants, parks, etc.) near the Hotspot, but integrating them with Net Coupons and Geo Chat applications.

The final result is an advantage for your customers who get information about what to do near your location, and you give them one more reason to visit you again.

End-user experience

The application works even for end-users who did not perform the authentication on the Splash Portal. Anyway, only logged end-users are able to explore and navigate into the map.
Unlogged end-users will be able to display only a static map.

Through the top-left menu, it is possible to filter the types of items that are displayed on map. The available options are:

  • Showcase: all available items are displayed on map.
  • Coupons: only available coupons, created through Net-Coupons, are displayed on map. This option is available only if enabled through the Control Panel (as mentioned above).
  • People: only online Geo-Chat users are displayed on map. This option is available only if enabled through the Control Panel (as mentioned above).
  • Places: only places are displayed on map. This option is available only if enabled through the Control Panel, and for the categories enabled through the Control Panel (as mentioned above).

The second button allows to switch between a text-based list (List view) and the classical map view (Map view).

Then, it is possible to use a classical search filter in order to find particular items or categories on map.

Then, the application comes also with a sidebar, where it is possible to display coupons and chatters when the corresponding options are enabled in the Control Panel.
